It's Not Cool To Like Girly Things

This article. So much. It's completely true for me. Growing up most of my friends were guys and the few female friends I had were either a little weird like me or boyish in some way. I never wore skirts and black was a constant. I was just brainwashed into this whole "girl stuff isn't cool" mentality. Looking back, I have no idea why, but it's utterly stupid. Fuck yeah I like pretty dresses, hello kitty, jewelry, and flowers. I like cute animals. I like cleanliness. I like (looking at, not wearing) fashion.

I don't know why I was ever ashamed of it. I think girls, being the crueler of the genders, tend to hate girls easily. Like, "At least I'm not the slut wearing a miniskirt!" kind of thing. Or "I'm cooler because I play Street Fighter and don't go shopping as a past-time!". I've seen a lot of girls doing this.

Street Fighter is fucking stupid. A girl isn't a slut just because she wears a miniskirt.

I'm glad I've changed.
